 Environment & OHS Policy

    It is essentially respect for the environment and people.

Our Environmental Policy;

•    Identifying environmental aspects, determining the types and damages of environmental impacts and taking necessary measures to prevent environmental pollution,

•    To review our management system and environmental performance in detail at the "Management Review Meeting" held regularly every year in order to ensure continuous improvement of our system, to identify areas for improvement and to take appropriate measures in a timely manner, as well as to review our goals and objectives every year and to evaluate progress,

•    Providing a healthy, safe and clean working environment for our employees and placing waste bins at points that are easily accessible to all employees,

•    To use a Waste Management approach such that the primary priority is to prevent waste generation within the framework of legal regulations, In cases where waste generation cannot be prevented, to choose our other options by following the steps in the waste hierarchy,

•    To regularly check and improve the Waste Management Plans established with the goal of "Reducing Waste at the Source", and then to implement actions to reduce waste and minimize its impact, and finally to ensure the disposal of all our solid, liquid and gas wastes by following the appropriate methodology, 

•    Collecting the recyclable wastes generated at the Zero Waste Site established within the scope of "Zero Waste" and sending them to licensed waste collection centers for reuse and recycling,

•    To determine the air emissions that may arise from our activities in advance and then to ensure that the environment is protected and emissions meet the requirements of national and international legislation by implementing appropriate planning, engineering and mitigation efforts,

•    In today's world, energy has become a basic human need and necessity on which our lives depend. With the current state of our planet and the climate under serious threats due to the growing global population, the need for energy is increasing day by day. As KDS, we are aware that we must take great responsibility for climate change and especially for leaving a better and livable habitat for future generations. With this awareness, within the scope of the environmental management system, to monitor our greenhouse gas emissions that may arise from our activities, to calculate our annual carbon footprint in accordance with international standards and to work to minimize greenhouse gas emissions,

•    As a company, we know that energy management is one of the most important factors in doing our job and providing the necessary human, technological and financial resources to use energy efficiently and reduce our impact on the environment,

•    Implementing the most efficient energy systems that can be implemented in all processes, analyzing the existing system, assessing opportunities to increase efficiency and integrating appropriate improvements,

•    Believing in the philosophy of "Water is Life" and doing our best to protect natural water resources by complying with all necessary national regulations,

•    Monitor water consumption by recording the amount of water purchased and discharged, and take opportunities to implement appropriate procedures to reduce water consumption and increase water recycling/reuse,

•    Obtaining "Chemical Registration Certificate" and "Material Safety Data Sheet" from supplier companies for all chemicals used in production within the scope of the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals,

•    To make noise measurements in the factory at regular intervals and to keep noise exposures in the factory under control, 

•    Our company uses recyclable aluminum materials for the process,

•    To fulfill our legal responsibilities to protect the environment and nature and to implement the legal legislation applicable in our country,

•    Participating in the activities of public and private organizations related to the environment, constantly supervising them, and keeping them open to the supervision of the relevant parties,

•    To announce and publish its policies to its employees, customers, suppliers, suppliers and all other related parties and to create environmental awareness in related parties, 

•    To accept continuous development and improvement in harmony with the environment as a social duty in the planning and implementation of all our processes, with the awareness that we borrow the environment we live in from our children,

OHS Policy;

•    To comply with all national and international Occupational Health and Safety legislation,

•    To create a healthy and safe working environment for both employees and the environment by minimizing the risks of occupational accidents and occupational diseases with a proactive perspective,

•    To ensure that hazards are identified and eliminated in advance by conducting timely and accurate risk analysis

•    In order to ensure the health and safety of employees, subcontractors, visitors and our company personnel working outside the workplace, to take all kinds of measures in accordance with the OHS legislation in force and other requirements related to OHS, to have tools, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment in the workplace and its annexes, and to ensure that they are used when necessary,

•    To train our employees to improve their level of knowledge in the field of occupational health and safety and environmental awareness, and to ensure that they reach a good level of occupational health and safety and environmental protection awareness by repeating these trainings periodically,

•    KDS Press Casting San. Tic. A.Ş. to become an exemplary company in terms of OHS practices before the affiliated institutions, chambers of industry and associations,

•    Measuring the performance of the OHS management system and working to improve performance,

•    To follow technological developments in Occupational Health and Safety and to direct our investments accordingly,

•    To ensure the health, safety and social welfare of employees, visitors, subcontractors/contractors at all levels by taking into account the environmental and human impacts of the raw materials and technologies selected in product design and production processes, and to reduce any future material and moral losses that may arise for themselves and their families,  

•    To ensure the continuity of our OHS Management System established and executed in this direction,

•    Emergency planning and taking all possible precautions,

•    In case of storage and use of chemical substances, take precautions in accordance with the hazards specified in the "Material Safety Data Sheet",

•    To take necessary precautions against fire or explosion and to raise awareness of employees by providing training on related issues,

•    To inform employees about the ergonomics conditions to be followed in the workplace and to take the necessary measures in terms of ergonomics,

•    Comply with all internationally recognized human rights standards as set out in the International Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work,

We commit as our OHS policy.

    The biggest proof of the effective implementation of these principles that KDS Pres Döküm has adopted by all its employees is that the company has ISO 9001 Quality Management System and IATF 16949 standards as well as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard.

    These principles will be publicized through all means of communication and will be open to public opinion. The management will monitor the implementation of the environmental and occupational health and safety policies and targets to which it is committed.
